I take your privacy very seriously. Ichi is designed as a personal mindfulness and daily ritual app. Your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account — it never passes through any server I own or manage.
Ichi stores your preferences, settings, and ritual progress locally on your device. This data is not sent to any external server.
Your data may be synced across your devices using Apple’s private CloudKit database and iCloud Key-Value Store. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not visible to me.
If you purchase an Ichi subscription, your billing information, name, and address are managed entirely by the App Store and are not visible to me. I only receive anonymous information confirming whether you hold an active subscription, which plan you selected, and when it expires. This anonymous subscription status is also shared with my purchase provider, RevenueCat.
Ichi does not gather or transmit any personally-identifying information outside of your local device and your personal iCloud account. It only stores user preferences and ritual data within its local database and your private iCloud storage.
If Ichi, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Ichi goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, this policy and its effects may change or be amended. As Ichi does not collect any personal information about you, this would have very little practical effect.
Although most changes are likely to be minor, Ichi may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, at the Company’s sole discretion. Your continued use of this app after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
You hereby indemnify us and undertake to keep us indemnified against any losses, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses (including, without limitation, legal expenses and any amounts paid by us to a third party in settlement of a claim or dispute on the advice of our legal advisers) incurred or suffered by us arising out of your use of this app or any breach by you of any provision of these terms of use, or arising out of any claim that you have breached any provision of these terms of use.
If You are a European Union consumer, you benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. As Ichi does not collect personal data beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the Service, it is designed to be compliant with GDPR principles of data minimisation and privacy by design.
